Our transaction law/M&A team successfully assisted the family owned MAES Energy & Mobility in relation to the acquisition of Octa NV. MAES Energy & Mobility is headquartered in Bornem (East Flanders, Belgium) and supplies fuels, gasoil and lubricating oils. It also owns and operates a network of 125 gas stations. With this acquisition, the MAES Energy & Mobility acquires an additional 156 gas stations and, thus, drastically expands its current network of gas stations in Flanders, Brussels and Wallonia.

The transaction was signed on 16 July 2018 and will close upon approval of the Belgian Competition Authority. Further information can be found on the website of MAES Energy & Mobility.
