The teams of EY (led by Marc Guns, Nick Van Gils and Koen Claesen) and EY Law advocaten-avocats Corporate/M&A (led by Lieven Bultinck and managed by Michaël Pollet and Lindsey Clare) successfully assisted Van Mossel Automotive Group with the acquisition of Gman and Groep Bruyninx (Moorkens family).

For Van Mossel Automotive Group, the biggest car dealer in the Netherlands, this transaction is the first acquisition of a Belgian car dealership. The group has been active in the leasing sector in Belgium for some time. Earlier this year, the same team assisted International Car Lease Holding, part of the Van Mossel Group, with the acquisition of the Belgian leasing company Westlease. By the acquisition of Gman and Groep Bruyninx, the Van Mossel Automotive Group is strengthening its ambitions to continue to expand its business in Belgium.

The transaction was signed last Friday and parties intend to close before year-end.
