About Valérie

Valérie joined EY Law in September 2012. She has developed a broad expertise in both corporate and non-profit law and has advised a large number of leading national and international companies and non-profit associations in corporate and commercial law matters, including national and cross-border restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, corporate secretarial services and coordination on large (multi)national projects.

Professional experience

On a daily basis, Valérie advises national and international companies and non-profit organisations in both corporate and commercial law matters. She assists clients with national and cross-border restructurings, including corporate simplification projects, M&A and joint-ventures. Over the past years, Valérie acquired an extensive experience in providing assistance with the set-up of legal structures under Belgian law, both in the commercial and non-profit sector, designing tailor made governance structures for and (cross-border) reorganisation projects of large and complex entities or groups. Valérie is a regular speaker at seminars focusing on corporate and non-profit law. She joined Donahue & Partners LLP in New York in June 2017, representing the Belgian legal desk.

Education

Valérie graduated as Master of Laws from the Catholic University of Leuven (KUL) in 2011. She subsequently obtained a Master in Economic Law from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) in 2012.

Valérie is member of the Dutch Brussels’ Bar as of September 2012.

Valérie is fluent in Dutch, French and English.
